CKC Missions

This Winter CKC is planning a trip for our staff and alumni to volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa’s religious order). Our plan is to go to Bengal, India, and to serve the poor alongside the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). This is an intense, hands on volunteering opportunity in an impoverished part of a south Asian city of more than 10 million people. The daily schedule will include active volunteering, prayer with the Missionaries of Charity, down time, and opportunities to explore and experience the culture of Bengal.

Contact Adam Trufant at immediately if interested. A deposit of $1600 secures your place. Contact Adam for payment details.

Staff and alumni of Camps Kahdalea and Chosatonga have often traveled together pursuing various outdoor adventures, humanitarian causes, and mission work opportunities throughout the years. Directors emeritus David and Anne Trufant sowed this passion among their children, friends, and camp community. They also shared awareness of global needs and provided hundreds of individuals opportunities to serve and adventure through their many trips across the world, particularly to Kenya, and by supporting and facilitating the work of many of their former campers and staff members.
