Snapshots from the Summer!

From the Directors:

CKC is all about connection: connection between campers and their counselors, connection to camp culture and traditions, connection to beauty and the allure of the wild, connection among friends which promotes growth in authenticity, self esteem, and resilience, and connection to God. See some of these connections in full color below in some snapshots from our summer! In between some of our photos you can read a small sampling of some of the wonderful messages we’ve received from parents since the summer. We are so grateful for the investment and commitment of our camp families. We’ll see you next year! Until then, don’t forget to have fun!

“They come home happier, more independent, more confident, proud of their new outdoor skills, and eager for the next summer. What more could we ask for!”

Best. Summer. Ever!!!!

“Seriously impressed by the counselor letters and the things they noticed in our kids. The focus and current program is perfect. Focusing on building virtue and giving the kids confidence is so needed. Don’t change a thing!”

“It is difficult to articulate all that we love about sending our boys to Chosotonga. It started with the awareness that our oldest, who is often resistant to our guidance, needed to experience and be surrounded by positive faith filled people. After his first summer, we saw positive maturing and we knew he would benefit by having more camp experiences. Chos is such a special place and now that all 3 of our boys have had the opportunity to spend a summer in beautiful NC we know that it will continue to be a tradition in our family. Our drive from NC to FL last Friday was full of fun stories, silly songs and endless chatter about all that they had experienced. From the minute they stepped in the car we observed maturity and more thoughtfulness towards others. Three boys with very different personalities and interests now have this common bond that only they can understand.

All the compliments for Kahdalea. I have been impressed every year, but particularly this year with how well the counselors get to know [our daughter]. This year, her counselors’ letters made it clear they both really understood her as a person and knew how to nudge her to grow. It is really amazing to see her growth every year during the month of camp – we’re so appreciative of the great people at camp who take such good care of her 🙂

See you next summer!
