Each year, we host a retreat for the CKC Family to build community, refresh ourselves in prayer and camp friendships, and generally have a fun time in some epic location. We’ve hosted retreats in the Joshua Tree heights of southern California, the islands of the Gulf of Mexico, or in our very own Blue Ridge Mountains. Rest assured it will be fun, restful, outdoors, and full of the unique CKC flare that only comes from the fountainhead of this wonderful camp family.
In case you’re in need of some soul refreshment, some campy vibes, some epic wilderness, some good laughs, and some spiritual wind in your sails, we wish to invite you out for an adventure retreat in the wilderness of North Carolina’s Outer Banks this Spring.
WHO: Previous and present CKC staff (and some other rad people as well)! Spots are limited so get your spot while they last!
WHAT: Hang with friends old and new in an epic and wild place for an informal wilderness retreat. Expect campouts, adventuring, fires on the beach, sweet sunrises/sunsets, wild horses, epic stars, time for worship, prayer and reflection, and some encouraging talks as well!
WHEN: March 7-10, Thursday to Sunday evening.
WHERE: Bear Island State Park and North Carolina’s undeveloped barrier island Shackleford Banks, on the Cape Lookout National Seashore.
WHY: Because it’s super fun, and that’s our motto.
▪ Once we get your info locked in we’ll send you another email with a packing list to get you going! If you fly, fly in/out of Raleigh or Wilmington, NC. There will be an airport shuttle option from Raleigh and from Wilmington. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the event.
COST: This will depend on how many people sign up, but it should be ~$175 per person.
A packing list will go out with the first trip email, but think sunscreen, water proofing, windlayers, a good book, and a hammock!
As always, just know how grateful we are for this awesome camp family and WE LOVE Y’ALL!
God bless you,
Adam, the Trufants, and the CKC Staff
